Clinton and her aides have been peddling false information about Obama to undercut one of his primary arguments: she voted for the war; I was against it. Engaging in such disingenuous attacks may help Clinton beat back Obama, but it is hardly the way for her to counter Obama’s claim that she represents poltics-as-usual. It only proves his point.
Andrew Sullivan explains the strategy behind this move. It seems clear though that the Clintons are banking on the laziness and gullibility of the American people.

Let’s face it. Hillary is a liar. She always has been and always will be. The Clintons feel like the Presidency is owed to them. All Hillary is doing now is destroying the Democratic Party.
I hope that Obama dows not select Hillary as his running mate. I believe a womean will get him elected but if it is Clinton it is a death warrant. I have heard assassination talk even months ago and I believe Hillary will do anything to get what she wants. I thinki it is 8 or so people who have been murdered who were in the Clintons way or knew damaging info.The Vice Presidency is one heart beat away from the presidency and they caqn make it look like a southern racial issue.
