Al Giordano of The Field is reporting that an Obama-Clinton ticket is a non-starter:
The Field can now confirm, based on multiple sources, something that both campaigns publicly deny: that Senator Clinton has directly told Senator Obama that she wants to be his vice presidential nominee, and that Senator Obama politely but straightforwardly and irrevocably said “no.” Obama is going to pick his own running mate based on his own criteria and vetting process.

One reply on “Obama-Clinton?”
categorically that he had “never sexually hasrased anyone.” But in the interview with PBS, Cain left some wiggle room on a question about whether he had ever behaved in an “inappropriate” way.“In my opinion, no,” Cain told interviewer Judy Woodruff. “But as you would imagine, it’s in the eye of the person who thinks that maybe I crossed the line.”And since no one knows (still!) what was done that supposedly crossed the line, we’re still running solely on innuendo, hearsay, and accusation.Nota bene: Back when I was still in harness, I had a woman file claims of wrongful termination and sexual discrimination against me. For doing what, you ask? For firing her (for taking so much time off, chronic tardiness, incompetence, etc.) and replacing her with another wait for it..woman. She was awarded her accumulated sick days and vacation pay, which she would have gotten anyway. Period.I had another woman storm into my office one day (while my secretary tried to stop her) and demand that she be allowed to wear pant-suits instead of dresses and skirts. I informed her that our company policy was that we dress like our customer prefers us to dress. Our customer (at the time) was IBM (we were running their financial services arm), and they had requested that we dress like IBM employees, ultra conservatively. Men had to wear a stylish (blue or gray, no brown) suit and tie (no sport coats or slacks), white shirts (no blues, yellows, pinks, etc.), and shoes that tied (no loafers). Women had to wear stylish dresses or skirts and blouses, no jeans, pants, or even pant-suits. She then wrote letters to the Human Resources Department, and threatened to quit if she couldn’t wear pants. They pointed her to the door. This is not to disparage women in any way. Men do the same strange things. They all think they’re entitled. These are the very same people you now see camped out in Zuccotti Park. Me? I’m waiting for all the facts to come in. As usual.
